The 1961 Lakewood wagon had been in a basement garage, driven little for almost a dozen years. I flew to Virginia and drove it back to IA. Visited Corvair Alley, the wagon wouldn't pass LeVair Performance without some 'love" from the shop Some broken valve springs, a burnt head gasket and low compression put a stop to my otherwise trouble free trek home. The wagon now sports some '64 110 heads.
It s a great city cruiser, grocery getter and is loved by all at the local shows, winning top 20 at the Holly Felsen Welch show!
