The First of March, 2017 we purchased this car from a friend who had sold it to a couple in South Carolina. The husband had a classic and he wanted one for his wife. She chose this one. Sadly, she was killed in an accident, leaving this car to sit in the garage a few years. Our friend got a call that the gentleman was ready to sell the car and through him, we found this beautiful 1965 Canadian built, Evening Orchid Corsa. With the telescoping column and 'wood' wheel, the AM/FM radio, it was nicely optioned for the first year of the late model body style. The color was a one year only, as the paint of that year faded badly, so it didn't work well for Chevrolet.
The car came to us with bulky tires and rally rims...dark limo tinted windows. The paint was checked quite badly, so we had a quick paint job just in time for it to win a senior division award in concours that summer at convention. Quite a surprise!
We have since removed the window tint and done regular maintenance and repairs, just enjoying the car for it's quick and lively driving experience. Sometimes it's great to just buy a car and enjoy it without having to rebuild them! Still a clean and rust free car with the original 140hp engine and 4 speed transmission.
